The connection to Jesus is much stronger in this psalm than in many of the others. After all, Jesus Himself makes the connection while on the cross. When He wants to express what He is going through while on the cross, He uses this psalm to do so. Andrew and Edwin jump off from there to talk about Jesus in this psalm.
